Team Peel CWSF 2026 Winners Recognized at Mississauga and Peel Regional Councils

The Peel Region Science Fair delegation had the honour of visiting Mississauga City Council on Wednesday, June 24, and Peel Regional Council on Thursday, June 25, to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Team Peel at the Canada-Wide Science Fair 2026.

During both council meetings, organizers introduced the Peel Region Science Fair and shared its mission of encouraging student curiosity, innovation, and excellence in STEM. The fair continues to provide students across Peel with opportunities to conduct meaningful research, develop problem-solving skills, and represent the region on provincial and national stages.

The CWSF 2026 winning delegates also had the opportunity to share their experiences with council members. Students spoke about presenting their projects, meeting young scientists from across Canada, and learning from the national science fair experience. Their reflections highlighted not only their individual accomplishments, but also the strength of STEM education and youth innovation in Peel Region.

Peel Region Science Fair organizers sincerely thank Mississauga City Council and Mayor Carolyn Parrish for welcoming the delegation at Mississauga City Hall. They also extend their appreciation to Peel Regional Council and Peel Regional Chair Nando Iannicca for recognizing the students at the Regional Council meeting.

The meetings also opened the door for stronger future collaboration. The Peel Region Science Fair, Mississauga City Council, and Peel Regional Council expressed a shared commitment to connecting more frequently and continuing to support opportunities for young innovators. Peel Region Science Fair also warmly invites council members to visit PRSF 2027 and experience firsthand the creativity, research, and talent of students from across the region.

The success of Team Peel at CWSF 2026 is a proud moment for the entire community and reflects the dedication of students, teachers, families, volunteers, judges, sponsors, and community partners who continue to support STEM education.
